Egypt NTRA certification

According to Egyptian state telecommunications administration (NTRA) issued by the relevant laws and regulations, all use within the territory of Egypt communications equipment including terminal equipment, radio communications equipment and so on all need to obtain NTRA type approval.

1, the product range

All communications equipment must be used in Egypt for NTRA type approval. Include:

(1) terminal equipment

The various types of telephone

The fax machine (voice connection)

Plug-in/pay phone

LPU (line protection device)

Various types of public/private switches

GSM mobile station and phone

(2) radio communication equipment:

The radio to send/receive equipment

Satellite communication equipment

Cordless phone

Radar installations

(3) all indoor/outdoor, limited/wireless IT communication equipment.

2, who need to apply for NTRA type approval

For the first time in the Egyptian market the supply of telecommunications equipment, firm or company to anybody. Include:

Whatever manufactured or assembled communication products of the manufacturer or its authorized local agencies;

Whatever overseas trustee;

Whatever represent the interests of the overseas client registered with local institutions.

3, NTRA type approval adopted standards

NTRA recognition, including CE, FCC, international certificates and the marks, or apply for NTRA type approval of telecommunications equipment to meet the regulations for CE, FCC, through related standard test, acquire the certificate of recognition and labeled with the corresponding. The telecommunications equipment NTRA certification using standard are shown in table 1.

7, type approval certificate

8, factory audit and inspection before shipment

Factory audit is a part of the type approval program, which means that the laboratory to check production enterprises when applying for the test certification provided by the relevant certificates and documents, equipment at the scene of the production and application.
