The certification process
1. The application. For the BIS certification of foreign manufacturers generally need to use a dedicated application, and prepare relevant documents to the application for BIS headquarters in new Delhi.
2. Record. BIS to check applicants to submit a review application documents and data, such as procedures complete, put the application on record. Applicants must pay the corresponding disposal.
3. The first factory inspection. The BIS will appoint no more than 2 people factory inspection delegation of officials. The applicant shall bear factory inspection delegation official travel, visa fee and other expenses and the corresponding inspection fee.
4. The certificate can be issued. If the initial inspection and test results qualified, and the applicant agreed to perform the BIS certification after approval test plan and pay the BIS logo fee, certificate can be issued to applicants. The certificate is valid for 1 year. Certificate, after holding the license payment logo fee and certificate fee every year.
5. After certification supervision. BIS through the regular monitoring of witnesses and raided the sample of the factory, the market and testing, supervision of the certified the quality of the products. If the regular inspection, or market draw-out sample from the factory after the factory inspection and independent test results meet the requirements, the certificate can be updated. Of license by specified form submitted to the bank to apply for update, certificate update fee is 500 rupees. Holding the certificate still need to bear the sample inspection fee.
The BIS certification which need to submit technical documents
1. The application form
